My country, Thailand, is an agriculture country. The main bloods for our living are soil and water. Without them, we can't feed ourselves. Our King, he doesn't just only give fund for researching but he thinks and does it by his own to provide Thai people quality resources. He begins with :-
Forests, to let it hold and keep water, and also maintain the quality of soil
Water, such as Artificial rain. He also thinks about how to fully reuse the rain, not just let it fall and flow into the sea. He suggests many ways out about how to collect the water, how to use it efficiently, how to solve water pollution, flood management and protection, etc.
Soil, he studies and gives all of his knowledge such as Gamling Water Retention Project that enables sour and basic soil turns to be a perfect one for doing agriculture once again. Every single royal project of his, when he studies and does researching until it works, the effects will belong to the whole Thai people.
And lots of things he's done for the past 60 years....Have you ever seen anyone who did everything for other persons for 60 years? Have you ever seen anyone kept going to anywhere no matter how hard it was to talk with his people and help them to have better living? The King of Thailand can do it. He did very hard work, no day off for 60 years for his people. He carried his cameras and maps to everywhere, every place in the Kingdom. He knows every land, every road, every river, canal, mountain, and forest in Thailand, he's the one who knows them best!
Have you ever seen any palace in this world having rice field, rice mill, livestock, growing various economic plants (or even feeding homeless dogs)? Chitrlada palace has all. You may wonder why, I'd like to answer you as before - To research and make his people have better living!
To be a King may be an inherited attribute, however to be the king of one's heart is a different story. It does take years and years of great vision, positive intention, hard work and devotion to be such king of one's heart.
With 60 years of hard work in reign, and more than 3,000 royal substantive projects that greatly benefit his people of all levels, our Nai-Luang King Bhumibol has not only proved that he is the greatest king, but also the greatest king of 60 millions' hearts.
I unconditionally love and honor my king. Not because of anything else, but because I have learned tremendously from him, from his works, and from his way of life ..
to give more than to get, to live a sufficient life, to think of public benefit more than my own, to work hard in fulfilling both my personal and social responsibility, and to always be a better person than yesterday
I am not saying I can do all above, but at least in my life, I see one Great Spirit has done such and I shall follow.
"I might not have a chance to die for the King but I will live as a good people for him."
